Since 1981 Bullard Industrial Technologies has provided distant learning-based license preparation courses for all nine States requiring licensing, the District of Columbia, most Cities having local licensing requirements. We also provide distant learning-based Power Engineering courses for the the American Society of Power Engineers (ASOPE) as well as those for the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) and the Institute for Energy Plant Operations (IEPO). Free Course Financing


We offer free financing of your course of study. Your pay a down payment that covers the majority of the durable goods (text books, manuals and accessories) and we will set up an interest-free monthly payment plan to cover the balance of the course fee.



Curriculum


Instructor:      Each student is assigned an individual instructor and will be provided with the instructor’s pertinent communication information such as mailing address, fax number, e-mail address and telephone number. The instructor assigned to each student is responsible for grading and reviewing the examinations.


The instructor will also submit comments and suggestions to the student for compiling answers, key concepts related to the questions and recommendations related to studying for the license examination. Instructors are available to answer questions from students via telephone, fax, USPS mail or e-mail.


Manual:           A “Steam Engineering Reference Manual” is provided to the student. This manual provides a brief synopsis of areas of Steam Engineering that are pertinent to license exams such as ASME and National Board Inspection Code requirements, local license Codes, various types of steam boilers, boiler auxiliaries, combustion principles, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, water treatment and cooling water systems.


Textbooks:        One or more of several textbooks will be provided with the course. We provide the textbooks from which the licensing entity compiles the examination questions. Lessons: Each course has a specific set of Lessons and after sufficient time to study the content of the Lessons a corresponding examination is given covering the content of each Lesson.

Completed Lesson examinations are designed to serve as study guides for preparation to take the license or certification examination.



Course Completion Policy


Timeframe:      The courses are self-paced to the extent that the student has twelve (12) months from receipt of the course to complete the course.
The final grade for the course is based on the following weighted average table:


Lesson Examinations = 70% of the final grade.
Mid-course Examination = 15% of the final grade.
Final Examination = 15% of the final grade.


Extension:      If the student cannot complete the course in the twelve-month timeframe and has a legitimate reason, the student can submit a request, in writing, to the instructor, requesting a three (3) month extension for completing the course. Upon approval of the instructor, the extension will be granted and the student will have a total of fifteen (15) months, from initial receipt of the course, to complete the course.
